THE STORY
Twenty-five years of listening
to what a piano needs.
An ear tuned by growing up around musicians — not manuals — became the foundation for more than 25 years of hands-on technical experience, including the better part of a decade as lead piano technician at Northern Arizona University. Today, Tonecraft Piano Works brings that same concert-level standard to every piano in Northern Michigan.
It didn't start in a workshop. Aaron Sandner grew up underneath a piano, not beside one — his father was a professional jazz pianist, and the instrument was the center of gravity in the Sandner household long before Aaron ever earned a living from it.
